Submission Disclaimer

Important information regarding content submissions to the SoSouth distribution platform.

Last updated: July 2025

01Artist Responsibility

By submitting music or other content to SoSouth for distribution, you confirm that you are the sole owner or authorized licensor of all content submitted, including master recordings, underlying compositions, artwork, and metadata.

You accept full legal and financial responsibility for any claims, disputes, or damages arising from the submission of content to which you do not hold the appropriate rights.

02Content Review

All submissions are subject to review by the SoSouth team prior to delivery. SoSouth reserves the right to reject any submission that does not meet our technical or content standards, infringes third-party rights, violates applicable laws, or is otherwise determined to be unsuitable for distribution.

03No Guarantee of Distribution

Submission of content does not constitute a guarantee of distribution. SoSouth acts as a distributor on behalf of the artist and is subject to the content policies and approval processes of individual DSPs. Certain platforms may independently reject or remove content at their discretion.

04Metadata Accuracy

You are solely responsible for the accuracy of all metadata submitted with your content, including artist name, track title, release date, ISRC codes, and credits. Errors in metadata may result in misattribution of royalties or delays in distribution. SoSouth is not liable for royalty losses resulting from inaccurate metadata provided by the artist.

05Copyright & Sampling

Do not submit content that contains uncleared samples, interpolations, or derivative works without documented written permission from the rights holders. Submitting content containing uncleared third-party material is a violation of our Terms of Service and may result in immediate account suspension.

SoSouth does not provide legal clearance services. If you are unsure whether your content contains elements requiring clearance, consult an entertainment attorney before submitting.

06Takedowns & Disputes

If a third party files a rights claim or takedown request against your content, SoSouth will notify you and may place a hold on associated royalties pending resolution. Repeated infringement claims may result in permanent account termination.

07Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SoSouth and its officers, employees, and partners from any and all claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising out of your content submissions, your breach of any representation or warranty, or your violation of these terms.
